72 OMBr

72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians (72 OMBr) – a military formation of the mechanized forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The brigade was created in 2002 on the basis of the 72nd Guards Mechanized Division, which in turn traces its history to the 72nd Guards Motor Rifle Division.

The brigade has an honorary name — in honor of the Black Zaporozhians — a military formation of the UNR era.
